Seeing as this week is summer break........ [see last post]
SIDENOTE: although i claim this week as summer break week it does not actually mean that i cannot show up to work! of course!

so in light of my late day at work last wed (i work from 2-7)
and how making a meal after 7 is only fun when your in the mood to cook (and seeing as how i was all about summer break it did NOT seem fun on that particular day)
.................................THE HUBS COOKED!
Now this is not a rare phenomenon. Tez actually does cook and he can cook quite well. But usually i'm all about the cooking which gives him rare opportunities to. (look a lady does NOT become Betty Crocker overnight she needs the practice!)
So we're chatting and I'm talking about how we are in DESPERATE need to go grocery shopping b/c we GOT NOTHING in the pantry and he says "how about i cook. I can go to the grocery store too" (Do i even need to explain the beauty in that statement?)
GREAT IDEA!!!
And then the idea goes from him cooking to him cooking an INDONESIAN meal.. now that sounds nice!
So we plan on it. He will make an INDONESIAN feast and have it ready by the time i get back from work (AW)
Tezar then tells me the Menu: Chicken Satay- which is Indonesian for chicken shish ka bobs lathered (in my case dipped) in peanut sauce... that sounds fun
Tezar then tells me he has never made this before but he thinks he knows how it can be done...
Tezar then tells me he thinks that this idea may include a rotisserie chicken.....
I'm confused....
Tezar then decides to look up the recipe on the internet for some inspiration.....
I'm relieved....
I leave to work and the rest was up to him....
AND BOY WAS IT GOOD...I admit i have faith in Tez but i also am a natural pessimist so i DID have my doubts.... plus the rotisserie comment kind of threw me off. But after tasting the delicate chicken (he did not use rotisserie) and the sweet peanut sauce i now ask myself why i ever doubted him....
I'll let the pictures do some talking:
One confident man....
Peanut Sauce!
Putting it on the side for me so i can dip it
Do i look too surprised?!
A success!!!
I think he should cook more often :)
