Bali anyone?

Seeing as i have been slacking with this whole blog thing I promise to make this post entertaining.... and what better way is there than to include pictures from the little trip the hubs and i took...to BALI...
i would post pictures of JAKARTA however since returning i cannot find my camera... i know it is in the house somewhere but it has yet to show up these days so these will have to suffice... i am stealing these from Tez parents/ friends pics posted on facebook: )
here we go....

Balinese Dancers to greet us upon arrival at our hotel... Their dancing could adequately be described as a graceful robot? can't picture it? look it up on line...

Dinner that night on an open beach... We picked out the freshly caught sea food we wanted to eat and had a great feast....it was BEAUTIFUL and so serene...

That is for everyone except the fish....

On our way to the beach....

Ahhh glorious...

Even more glorious...a massage on the beach...
Don't let this picture fool you...we gained about 10 pounds on this trip...
Visiting a Hindu temple... This one gets swallowed by the ocean at nightfall... we barely made it in and had to practically swim our way to the entrance... ok so the water was up to our ankles around this hour but you try walking through the tide in flip flops!
Did I mention there were snakes?

Tez's sweet mother

Balinese theater
This was the famous Balinese fire dancer... They lit all these coconut shells on fire and he LITERALLY jumped into it and started rubbing the flaming coconut's on himself... He also put the flames in his mouth... When asked how he did it he said he was in a trance and that he wouldn't dare try it without being in the trance... do i believe him? oh yea... during the service it took two men to hold him back as he got out of the trance and some fire accidentally touched him once he was out of it and he quickly threw it off of himself... this is what caught me and Tez's attention and what caused us to ask him about it.

We ventured into Monkey Forrest... where at a mere 9 years old Tez got chased by three large monkey's who were going after his peanuts... he really had peanuts in his pocket and they were chasing him for them- get your mind out of the gutter.
Tez was safe this time around and actually made a friend....

It kind of took me a while to warm up to them...
A little while longer....
There now....Best ribs I've ever tasted...period... And you know us Memphians know our Bar-b- que
Their motto was "Eat...Pay...Leave"

Do you even need to ask if i had a great time?
