It's far too cold outside of our covers and he is nice and warm.....
Every day the alarm goes off creating an effect on my cat equivalent to Pavlov's dogs. She has heard the bells, she wants breakfast, she tries to seduce me out of bed with meow's and snuggles.
Yesterday I forgot how much I loved the community of late night church, old scriptures seen in a new light, the sacraments and their meaning, a surprise visit from 2 old friends who just happened to be passing through and a late dinner with them and other friends who love them equally, reminiscing and catching up over some good ole Memphis BBQ.
(In Texas they claim to have good BBQ but nothing compares to the BBQ nacho's we devoured last night, so we hear)

Most days bring gifts I forget to record. I heard a Story on This American Life of a man who, anytime he experienced a strong emotion would have a seizure, it was a form of Epilepsy that he contracted late in his life, after he had been married. Said it mostly happens when he is happy, when he is with one of his four grandkids, when he tries to hold his wife's hand, when happiness excites him too much.
It made me sad until he said that as much as he tries to be emotionless, no matter how hard he tries, he just can't quit being happy,
that he'd probably have to fight happiness his whole life....
and that, ironically, put some things into perspective...
what a thought
What a thought! BBQ Nachos? Sounds great to me! Having eaten barbecue all across the southern states, my favorite was found in Birmingham, Alabama. It sounds like your kitty may be a more effective alarm than your alarm clock - ha! ha! Thanks for sharing today.
