Well we are back from our travels and rested. Conference in CHATtown was amazing and after a day of rest we boarded a plane and headed over to meet up with Tez' cousins in the Big Apple (compliments of the in-laws, they're the best!)
here is a little video they put together from the conference you can check out:
2011 National Conference Recap from Campus Outreach on Vimeo.
Here is a pic that was taken at the conference of a friend I got to know last year via a KD Bible Study I helped lead:
Some ADPi's I got the pleasure to hang out with at the conference:
This is what happens when Mama parties too hard (and eats wheat):
Tez got to catch up with his old roomies at the conference. They really love each other! We snapped a pic b/c this was the last time Tez would see David (the one on the left) B/C he is leaving to teach ESL in Brazil! We'll miss you David!!
This is the pic Tez and I took RIGHT WHEN we stepped onto the streets of New York. I really wanted it to be glamorous...and, well, it turned out like this: where in the world did those expressions come from?! too horrible not to post!
Tree at Rockefeller: It was SOOOO CROWDED
Iphone pic of Times Square (hence the bad quality- I still roll 3G what what!)
SOOO supposedly "Magnolia Cupcakes" are the best. WE got caught up in the hype (people literally waiting in line outside to get a cupcake) Let's just say I consider myself a cupcake CONNOISSEUR... and they weren't horrible but I've had better cupcakes at Muddy's... stick to Cheesecake NY
Top of the Rockefeller tower at night...
We stayed at the Hilton Time Square. Tez checking out the view from our window
Only Felicity fans will understand this one:
After buying THE BEST shawarma I had EVER tasted from a man cooking it up on the street, we just HAD to splurge on a little NY cheesecake... now THAT is what I am talking about NY!!!
The wonderful family I married into & LOVE getting to know (Indonesian's what what!):
Well that's all I got for now! Here's to hoping your New Years was spent with people you love! Until next time!
