JUST KIDDING!
I am actually pretty excited about this.
I have never been one of those people who love to run. I may have mentioned it on here before but on my bucket list is to NEVER run a marathon... those people kind of freak me out what with all their discipline and training and sheer excitement about running for over an hour... I don't care how big of a "high" it is...you people disgust me...

A 5K seems very doable esp with this handy dandy plan: Couch Potato to 5K
Last spring I actually got up to the run 25 min part which was about/a little over 2 miles for me (don't judge me you marathon I-can-run-a-mile-in-11-minutes freaks!) but after that... I quit...it got hard, I got busy, You know the drill.
Then I had someone ask if I was pregnant just b/c of my belly size...and I wasn't...if that doesn't make you start contemplate life decisions, I don't know what will!
So running a 5K is just enough push for me and with some maneuvering- "training" (ugh I AM beginning to sound like a marathoner) can nicely fit into my schedule.
Not to mention I am doing it with a group:
We meet every Saturday at 9 (accountability)
And a lot of my friends are in the group (FUN)
And we have even come up with a team name: Team Speed Impediments (HILARITY)
So wish me luck!
I guess you can file this under the "lose weight/be a healthier person in 2012" category.
And, hey, if you're looking to file something under that, you should sign up and/or join the speed impediments!
